Editorial Standards

Creatine Canada exists to give Canadians accurate, evidence-based information about creatine. Here is how our content is researched, written, sourced, reviewed, and kept current.

How we create content

  • Independent research — every guide starts with peer-reviewed trials, the ISSN position stand, systematic reviews, and Health Canada monographs.
  • Evidence-based writing — claims are tied to named, verifiable sources; we never invent studies or statistics.
  • Editorial review — content is checked for accuracy and balance against its cited sources before publication.
  • Ongoing updates — guides carry a visible last-updated date and are revised as new evidence emerges.

Our principles

  • Editorial independence — we do not accept payment for favourable coverage; rankings are earned on merit.
  • Sourcing standards — we prioritise peer-reviewed human research and recognised authorities over blogs or brand claims.
  • Accuracy and honesty — if we cannot verify a claim we do not make it, and we never present unnamed reviewers as credentialed professionals.

Who writes this

Our guides are produced by the Creatine Canada Research Team. We are expanding named expert review by registered dietitians and kinesiologists; when a guide is reviewed by a credentialed professional, that reviewer is named on the article.
